From Idea to Startup: What 90 Days of Building Actually Looks Like
A behind-the-scenes look at how Edufy's Entrepreneurship cohort takes students from a rough idea to a shipped project.
Most students think entrepreneurship starts with a perfect idea. In reality, it starts with a rough one — and the willingness to test it fast.
In our 90-day program, week one is about validation, not building. Students talk to real potential users before writing a single line of code or building a single mockup.
By week six, most teams have pivoted at least once. That's not failure — that's the process working. By day 90, students walk away with a shipped MVP, real user feedback, and the confidence that comes from building something people actually used.
The pivots are often the most valuable part of the whole process. A team that starts building a tutoring app and ends up building a scheduling tool for tutors has learned more about real-world product thinking than a semester of theory could teach.
What surprises parents most is how much of this transfers outside of business. Students leave with sharper communication, faster decision-making under uncertainty, and a portfolio piece they can actually talk about in an interview.
